The thing is, everybody think's they're good guys when it comes to their own personals and national security. Any NON-US Nation that steps up with indisputable proof that aliens exist and are here will automatically make the US look like the bad guys in this affair, which is sufficient reason for the US to stop keeping secrets when it's clear this game is up!
Haim Eshed, 2018, says there's a galactic federation and the US in cahoots. China says they have alien signals from another planet. Avi Loeb is running around pointing at everything and saying aliens. Russians, France, Brazil... They're all on the table having their UFO stuff. If a Phoenix Lights situation happened today, we'd be having a very different conversation.
We, the US, are 1 major event-whether that is aliens showing off over a city, or a nation coming forward with the evidence- away from serious social repercussions when the world collectively realizes we're holding back. All this talk about how important the environment is, when the number one nation who has benefitted from shifting the burden of production to other countries, like the environmental and social cost of low wages... Yeah, America is really going to have a hard time wiggling out of this if they don't start shooting straight. If we shot at aliens... well, that's just bad form. The good guys never shoot first. at least, that's what I got from Gene Autry and Star Trek.
