They Are Smarter Than We Think
How is it we have so many anecdotal stories about clever animals, more so today, clever animals captured on video, and yet we haven’t realized of course there are non-human intelligence?!
So, perhaps I do anthropomorphize a bit more than I should. Part of that is I am rather high in empathy. This was an ability my family nurtured in me, indirectly. I learned to read the room. I can read a room better than anyone’s business. I know when it’s time to get the hell out of Dodge. It resulted in me experiencing sympathetic pains when I see another human physically hurt. It resulted in me interpreting animal communication. They tell us stuff all the time, but few of us know their body language. I dare say, too many of us don’t understand human body language well enough to interrupt escalation. But it’s not even body language. It’s gestures. How would you interpret a cat bringing you a leaf?
Forget for a moment that the title of this video falls towards the click bait, disguised in the form of a leaf held by a cat that is giving the Puss N Boots weepy eyed stare. Yes, it’s a trick.
