UFO, AI, and Spirituality

Can humans discern the different between the phenomenon? Does it matter?

Perhaps the easiest explanation for academics and scientists staying well away from the discussion of UFOs is that frequently, and more often than anyone wants to acknowledge, is the paranormal aspect. It doesn’t have to be supernatural. Humans may just not know enough about reality to label the plethora of experiences that come with UFOs. D.W. Pasulka has been exploring this fringe area, and in doing so had an increase in the number of fellow academics expressing interests, behind closed doors. Is it time we all come out of the closet and declare our interests? Shouldn’t we all be sharing experiences?

Science by nature is reductionistic, breaking things into constituent parts in an attempt to explain the whole. There are some things that can’t be broken. Humans, from a holistic view, are connected to each other and nature. We know this scientifically, but downplay the fact that just taking walks in nature does more to improve mood and psychological well being than the equivalent time in a counselor’s office. City landscapes and noises detract from health, nature and kind, human interaction from established communities improves health.
