UFOs at the Super Bowl
You can always count on the Super Bowl commercials to be entertaining. Is it enough to make more people look up?
I am not a sports fan, but not from lack of family trying to convert me. I had a football helmet with Hook’em Horns on it. I learned my father’s mantra, and that hand sign before the Spock hand sign. I would pay attention in half time when the bands came into play. Bands and cheerleaders aren’t getting the airtime they used to. There is a lot of talking. Like non-stop talk. Not opposed to talking. I watch podcasts. That’s talk. I would rather listen to a discussion on NDEs and UFOs than sports. Knowing how good the commercials are on the Super Bowl is almost enough to make me watch. Well, not any more. The internet saved me the tortuous waiting for intermission. If not for the internet, I would have missed the UFO! Now for the question: was the UFO commercial a seed to open greater public dialogue, or a joke?
Commercials can be fun, funny, informative, and memorable all at the same time. In terms of selling a product, this UFO commercial hit a home run by not mentioning the product to the end.
