UFOs and Aliens
Inside the Black Vault, an interview of John Greenwald, Jr by YouTube host Artisan Tony, is worth a listen if you need podcast distraction on the way to work. Greenwald is an author and houses content which you can download for free which he recovered from the government using the Freedom of Information act. Sometimes, you don’t need conspiracy theorist to make an argument for UFOs. You just need heavily redacted government files with UFOs on the title page.
Redacted interests me. It’s like writing a book, the Secret, and then wondering why it’s a best seller. People love a secret. Even if it’s not a secret. John refers to one article of interest, the Security Classification Guide for UFOs. What this means is, there is a standing protocol for dealing with unidentified objects. They label it top secret. They don’t talk about top secret.
There are good reasons to label things top secret. You’re protecting your country, your interests, or your hiding something mischievous. Mischievous allows for a range of benign, like trying to profit from a secret, to malicious, like doing something most people would not approve of. I think it fair to say, when there is a hint of conspiracy, most people lean towards imagining worst outcomes.
