yeah, I absolutely agree, the LaGrange points is not about FTl or interstellar, super highways in space, are local, intra-solar-systems, and there may not be an analog to a galactic scenario where the same sort of system exist between stars, but wouldn't that be interesting, same above same below kind of concept. When i read the articles on this, my understanding was they don't know how to predict when these 'openings' might manifest that would allow migration of objects from place to other without adding energy, and i thought they referred to that as a type of portal, which sounds better than an opening. I could just be reconstructing everything I read with the dialogue from every science fiction I ever watched and invented new, NASA approved technical babble.
