What Are the Aliens Waiting For

Perhaps the endgame in this human alien drama is the aliens forgo governments disclosing and just present themselves. What might they be waiting for?

Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised the government has created redundancy between ARRO and NASA by creating two offices focused on UFOs. Two offices, probably driving the cost up more than double, but getting twice as less accomplished. Recreating the wheel is stupid. MUFON has been investigating UFO reports since the 1960s. Volunteers, not paid employees, eliminate the natural and man-made artifacts, and escalate the unknown. MUFON has the biggest UFO database in the world. Why not make MUFON part of the team?

If the thing holding aliens back from contacting humans openly, the most likely answer is humanity’s lack of cohesion. We are splintered governments, with many conflicting interests. Whether this is the true reason aliens employ a Prime Directive like philosophy against us or not, in order for humanity to grow up we need to increase solidarity in most domains. And we need to do it without coercion, economically or militarily.
