What Constitutes a UFO Expert?
In a world where there is hardly any consensus on what UAP actually means, how can there be any consensus on who are the experts?
National News, Megan Hatch article, UFO Expert Weighs in on the question: Are aliens among us? She didn’t interviewed John E Mack. He was a Harvard psychiatrist who suggested people aren’t crazy for saying they encountered aliens. He was at least an expert in judging sanity. Do you get to be an expert just by holding a chair in physics at Harvard? Dr. Avi Loeb is probably not an expert on UFOs. Krystal and Saagar introduce retired Navy pilot Ryan Graves to their show as an expert. He is certainly qualified to assess threat level in the skies, but an expert on UFOs? Would a person who was actually abducted be more an expert than the skeptic who doesn’t believe, doesn’t know the history, and doesn’t look at the data?
LYDIA SAAD, in the 2021 article, Do Americans Believe in UFO, covers Gallup polls. You never know how that will be interpreted. Either it denotes interest, or it’s a point that will make ‘experts’ lament the state of education.
