What Constitutes a UFO Expert?
In a world where there is hardly any consensus on what UAP actually means, how can there be any consensus on who are the experts?
National News, Megan Hatch article, UFO Expert Weighs in on the question: Are aliens among us? She didn’t interviewed John E Mack. He was a Harvard psychiatrist who suggested people aren’t crazy for saying they encountered aliens. He was at least an expert in judging sanity. Do you get to be an expert just by holding a chair in physics at Harvard? Dr. Avi Loeb is probably not an expert on UFOs. Krystal and Saagar introduce retired Navy pilot Ryan Graves to their show as an expert. He is certainly qualified to assess threat level in the skies, but an expert on UFOs? Would a person who was actually abducted be more an expert than the skeptic who doesn’t believe, doesn’t know the history, and doesn’t look at the data?
LYDIA SAAD, in the 2021 article, Do Americans Believe in UFO, covers Gallup polls. You never know how that will be interpreted. Either it denotes interest, or it’s a point that will make ‘experts’ lament the state of education. Does it matter what the public believes when the government says ‘UFOs are real?’ That statement is still debated, but real means- anomalous beyond human understanding. Does it matter what anyone thinks? It’s not like experts have ever cared what the public thinks, as evidence by them teaching and doing towards their own benefit.

Why alleged? ‘Alleged’ is a neutral word, but it seems to me it gets used when someone wants to distance themselves from a disclosure. The person is a self-proclaimed expert. Well, if you’re the first in a field, do you get to call it, or you have to wait till someone hands it to you?
Do we regard all experiencers as allegedly experiencing? Did anyone say Top Gun pilot David Fravor and his peers, four sets of eyes, ‘allegedly’ saw the TICTAC? Did the Nimitz carrier fleet allegedly have the fleet of TICTACS on radar? I…
