Do you think about the world’s end? I mean, not just your own death, but the deaths of your family, friends, and most of life, if not all life on Earth? Is it morbid that I think of this? That I have been thinking about this since childhood. I seriously worried about war all my life, though I have not suffered such directly. My father served in the US Navy and was in Vietnam. I suppose the closest I have come was the fall of the World Trade Center. How does one decide what to do when there is serious concern that you need not do anything, because today it ends…
So here were are. On the brink. At least now I don’t have to worry about global warming killing us all. Are leaders that preach concerns about environmentalism aware of the ecological costs of war?
How many times have we been here in my lifetime? In your lifetime? There are things most of us have zero control over. I am 54. I feel like I did when I was six, and mother said this was the end and we should all drink the cool-aid together. I am not sure how we got out of that. I would have done what my mother said. Wouldn’t you?
