“What if upon reincarnation the person is still a narcissist?”

What if being a narcissist is not a character flaw, but a mental health issue? Would someone be punished for a broken leg? Would someone be punished if they had diabetes or cancer? There is some evidence that we give ourselves cancer, by ignoring our intuition, and still, we are not punished for that. So, why a person be punished for traumatic brain injury, or a developmental issues, or depression... or a personality disorder?

Narcissism is a personality disorder. I am not saying live with those folks, or even work with them, especially if your personality is vulnerable to being take advantage of. People who have a difficult time saying no, or who would have anxiety at work if not accomplishing the work was reflection on them- nothing wrong in that, these are always good people who have good work ethic- but you will get more work than is fair more often than not.

I would say, understand the disorder, be compassionate for the disorder and the people who fall victim to the disorder... We're complicated, and things can go wrong... but even that, is an opportunity to improve our game.

You are not your body. You are not your brain. You are not the personality you adopt as an avatar, which may or may not be right for the body or the brain. I wonder, has anyone every planned out the personality for the next life, only the body they got just didn't work right. From other people's perspective, that might look like incongruence and failure to adapt to reality which leads to a mental health label... It's not gender dysphoria if while planning the life I was actually meant to be the other gender, but the washing machine tumbled out the wrong set of clothes.
