Why Do Conspiracies Persist

This is a tough subject. Humans are involved. A single human is a complex critter to sort, but when you start adding more than one, that complexity approaches infinity pretty fast. It’s also true that many of the things that are dismissed as theory was actually self perpetuated by an agency in authority flat out lying, dismissing, or supporting ambiguity. Most people see through lies pretty quick. We tend to know when someone’s profiting, and we are either blowing it up, or trying to cash in. We like to challenge things that are wrong. As people chase truth and they find more inconsistencies, they don’t just stop and attribute that to just being human… They assume others are playing the same game. That’s what humans do. We live and play social games. We’re born into games, we learn the rules to the game, we play by the rules given us or we are excommunicated. Social reality is real, is rarely linked to the physical world, yet sometimes results in penalties harsher than physical reality.

Is the 1999-RQ36 asteroid the 2001 Space Odyssey monolith we’ve been looking for?

It seriously doesn’t take much effort to make a conspiracy today. You only need to look at government officials making policies behind closed doors, that used to be open to public- and are blaming COVID for that move towards secrecy… Wait a minute!
