Yes, There are UFO Hoaxes
The Entertainment Culture isn’t just about consuming, it’s about creating content. There are those who will ‘fake it to make it,’ maybe because that’s an acceptable lie that society favors.
I suspect we live in the most bizarre time in history. We often fail to realize how many complex social and psychological factors motivate individuals and agencies to find ways to exploit other humans and communities. Why would an individual want to fool someone? Because they can? It’s funny? Arrogance and just wanting to be right? I suppose the why part doesn’t matter. Truth matters. Truth: The Round Rock ‘UFO’ September 2nd, 2022 was a hoax.
I am ambivalent about stunts and hoaxes in general. In some ways, when people challenge a system or belief it can make the system or belief more sophisticated in terms to responding to challenges. Interestingly, this hoax was first tested in California, and California wasn’t having it. Hoaxers were mad! So, they picked another target. They went to Texas.
There is a difference between naïve and nice. I would not say Texans in general are naïve. Honest people tend to give others the benefit of the doubt. We trust, till you demonstrate otherwise.
