You better walk daily so you can still do this at 95! If you don't, I will kick your butt. Tell you what, we can be accountability partners, as I need to walk more, too.
This thing you're doing, reading, writing, thinking, responding.... Well, that's the best thing you can do for your brain. If you can hear tough criticism without too much disabling emotions, yay you! If you sometimes get carried away, well- you're human. Aren't we all.
Can our writing be better? Absolutely. Even me. Damn it, just the other day someone left me a private statement, highlight a word/phrase that I clearly messed up. They said, "I used to like your stuff, but you clearly don't proof read your work so I am done..." I thanked them for highlighting my mistake. What else can I do? They're right. I did want to argue- you're just now catching I make mistakes? LOL. I wondered if he had a bad day? Maybe I was the last straw... I wonder if he had amazing day, he would have been more forgiving, like hey, john, i think you meant... Someone's done that, too, which super dead on target. I mixed up joseph Campbell with Thomas Campbell and they caught it! Anyway, I probably think wayyyy tooo much about comments.
I am weary about labeling this exercise an addiction. It's a work out. Don't neglect your other physicals, emotional, and spiritual work outs.
You're on target.
