Your position is clear and well stated, and I will interject only this and allow you to continue to take your meals with salt, even as I must lean away from salt per the Doctor's instructions. Ha!

When it comes to non-physical Universe, such as consciousness, if no one ever even tries to touch even with outdated, unwell defined terms, or even the most updated terms, such as synchronicity, then no one, not even scientists, will ever get around to studying them, because there would be no pressure or instinct to do so. If you were to include Dean Radin in your diet, he and others like him suggest that these things like psy persist because there is enough evidence for them, subtle though be, to suggest there is something here to study. I would further state, that Dean Radin's methodology, which is under review, with additional studies seeming to support his conclusions, are impeccable, more so than regular studies because he is fighting against the grain. Your apparent disdain feels like a bias, and maybe even a reasonable preference as clearly established by the metaphorical diet- but therein lies the heart of this- the science that makes it into journals get published because they fit the editors and staff preference. Anything that require salt gets diminished, and if considered unpalatable, will never be published, even if right, valid, and better than vitamins with ketchup, salt or not. As long as this prevails, there is no science, as pure data should not first pass through a stomach to discover if it's tolerable. We would not have the EEG if it weren't for Hans Berger (1873–1941) persistence to explain an ESP event he experienced during the war. Just saying, all science is the result of people trying to prove or disprove psy, going back to Bacon.
